Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I hope that in part you are doing so because you are open enough to consider learning more about my platform and why I chose to represent the Democratic Party in this year’s election. First of all, I can tell you that it was not an easy decision to make.

The last several elections have been landslide victories. The Republican Party is a machine, it has raised tens of thousands of dollars to my hundreds.  In addition, I am going into this race well aware that a significant number of my constituents will not consider my platform or candidacy seriously, not because of my issues or character, but because of the party that I represent. So the rational thinker would ask themselves why anyone would run against such odds.

I can assure you that it is not because of my ego! I am not running for the prospect of greater political offices down the road. I don’t even have a front page issue that I can ride all the way to victory. Instead, I chose to run because I believe in the principles of freedom that are guaranteed by the constitution of our country and state. I am running because I believe that the current political system is corrupted and lacks the necessary checks and balances to produce quality legislation.

I do not choose to see myself as running against unbeatable opponent, a political ideology that is inherently flawed, or people who would rather vote for an elephant than a person. I am running FOR  members of District 15 who want their voices to be heard, who want accountability in their government (I believe that corruption is not limited to the Attorney General’s office). I believe that once we allow any single party or ideology to so dominate a society, we no longer produce quality legislation. I want to change that. If elected to represent District 15, I would review legislation carefully and work relentlessly to hold the majority accountable.

In short, I chose to run because there are those like me who want to have a choice. There are those of us who go to the polls having researched candidates and platforms and have made informed decisions based on character and integrity, not party lines.  Of course I have takes on issues and you can read about them here. I hope that you will consider my candidacy and support me in November.
